| OK — have been messing about with this thing for maybe five months now and I keep coming back, so figured I'd say something since someone asked me last week. Am UK based, mostly stick to footie and the horses, small stakes, for context. The reason I started using it was honestly embarrassing — I never could get my head round what an ew return actually came to when the place terms changed. I'd just wing it and get a shock. Now stick my stake in before I place anything, even a straight one-selection punt. Their single bet calculator is the bit I open most — type in your stake, the odds and it shows returns instantly, fractional or decimal, doesn't matter. Same tool covers the multiples — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, yankees, and that's where most people I know mess it up. If you want a look, it's here lucky 15 calculator bet and there's no login wall, which I appreciated. What really shifted things for me were the geekier bits. They've got an implied probability calculator and it makes obvious what margin's baked in, plus a kelly criterion calculator — I use half kelly since full stakes are a quick route to a dead bankroll. Dutching calculator is handy too when I'm splitting a race. It's not perfect mind. Its layout is pretty plain — no frills, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it's usable but the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. Also there's nothing on the app store, it's a website and that's it — doesn't bother me just flagging it. Right, that's me. Doesn't cost anything, no ads shoved in your face, does the job. If you even now does the maths on paper, try it — it's saved me plenty of "wait, that's it?" moments. |

| OK — been on this thing for something like five months now and it's basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I'd write something up since a mate asked me last week. I'm based in the UK, generally bet football and racing, small stakes, for context. How I found it was honestly embarrassing — I couldn't ever figure out what an e/w payout would be once you get five places instead of three. Basically I'd wing it and moan when the payout landed. Now punch the numbers in first, every time, even a simple single bet. The single bet calculator tool is the part I use most — type in your stake, the odds and you get profit and total return straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn't matter. It also handles the fiddly ones — acca and treble returns, a lucky 15, a yankee, honestly that's where most people I know lose track. If you want a look, it's over at vig free calculator and it's free with no account nonsense. The thing that actually made a difference was the geekier extras. They've got an implied probability converter and it makes obvious the overround, and a kelly staking tool — I use half kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. The dutch tool is handy too for when I'm splitting a race. It's not perfect mind. Its interface looks a bit basic — no polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On my phone it's usable though the lucky 63 breakdown make you pinch and zoom. Also there's no app, it's a website and that's it — doesn't bother me but you asked. Right, that's me. Doesn't cost anything, no ads shoved in your face, works. Anyone who even now does the maths on paper, give it a go — saves me a load of dumb bets I'd have regretted. |
